About Diabalance

Diabalance is a webapp for diabetic people who struggle to keep their blood sugar levels balanced and taking care of their physical well-being. Diabalance aims to help users keep track of their blood sugar levels and recognise patterns to aid with management of symptoms. Unlike other apps that only focus on diet culture, Diabalance recognises behavioural patterns of their users and alerts them when there’s a change in their sugar levels.

Process

Through conducting interviews and competitor analysis, I was able to find out that one of the main struggles that diabetic people face is keeping their glucose levels stable and also keeping track of the glucose levels to monitor their glucose intake. Therefore, one of the main functions of the webapp was to be able to keep note and track their glucose levels. The tracking would also alert them of any unfamiliar changes and give them advice based on their behavioural patterns.

Other features of the webapp included articles and activities that helped with providing information regarding diabetes. Users are also able to save any of the articles that were useful to their account that they could review in the future when needed.
